Safety

The referral network only works if it isn't abused.

Employees volunteer their time to review candidates. We put real limits in place so that stays sustainable: for them and for students.

Anti-spam limits on referral requests

Students can request a limited number of referrals per week per company. Repeated, identical, or mass-messaged requests to the same employee are rate-limited and flagged for review.

Employees control their own visibility

Employees who join the referral network choose which companies, roles, and how many requests they're open to. They can pause visibility at any time.

Employee privacy protections

Employee contact details are never shown directly to students. All referral conversations happen inside ready2job.co, and employees can end a conversation at any point.

Reporting abuse

Any student or employee can report harassment, spam, or misrepresentation. Reports are reviewed and can result in warnings, referral-network suspension, or account suspension.

What counts as referral spam

  • Sending the same referral request to many employees at once.
  • Re-requesting a referral from an employee who already declined.
  • Asking an employee for anything beyond a referral review: for example, interview answers or confidential information.
  • Contacting an employee outside ready2job.co after being introduced through the platform without their consent.

What we ask of students

Treat every referral request as a favor, not an entitlement. A strong, tailored profile earns more attention than volume ever will. We do not promise that any request will be accepted.

What we ask of employees

Give honest, respectful feedback even when declining. You control your own bandwidth: pausing your visibility never affects your account standing.

Reporting a problem

Use the Safety topic on our Contact page to report spam, harassment, or a privacy concern. Include usernames or conversation details where possible so we can investigate.
